12th Isle Tickets Saturday 16th May 8pm (Brewery)

£20.00

We’ve been trying to make this night happen for a long time now and it’s finally in the diary. In pen!

Our favourite leftfield Scottish label, 12th Isle, who have been releasing music from across the world since 2016, is curating the line-up for this night at the brewery, featuring artists and DJs from their roster, including:

BOB THEIL

“One of UK's best kept secrets of the last 30 years.” – It's Psychedelic Baby

Cult private-press loner folk guitarist Bob Theil, whose 1982 album So Far is considered one of the Scottish greats of the era.His music is steeped in the tradition of the great acoustic troubadours from the UK scene circa 1965 and onwards. His songs and music recall what for many is considered a halcyon period when the likes of Roy Harper, Bert Jansch, Michael Chapman, Richard Thompson and Al Stewart to name a few, were plying their trade in the UK clubs and college circuit. His voice, writing and guitar playing are an eclectic mix of folk and rock influences.

MATERIAL THINGS & AL WHITE (LIVE A/V SET)
Material Things, musical outlet of 12th Isle co-founder Stewart Brown, comes together with long-time collaborator, Al White, for an amazing set of live visuals and experimental sounds.

FERGUS CLARK (DJ)

Fergus is a co-founder of the label and regularly broadcasts on NTS Radio since 2021, covering many styles and moods across ambient, dub, oddball electronics, new wave, folk and dance music.

He has played in venues and festivals across Europe as well as North America and Australia and released mixtapes for Good Morning Tapes, AD93 and Midnight Vultures. In 2017 he co-compiled Miracle Steps: Music From The Fourth World for Optimo Music, and has contributed to reissue projects of older music for labels such as Stroom and Muscut.

Fergus also regularly pens liner notes and release texts for a variety of similarly underground labels and will be drawing from his record collection for a themed vinyl set on the night.

‍INTERTOTO

Skirting around the edges of ambient and techno, Intertoto’s immersive sonic experiments allow the mind to wander through hazy textural detailing as infinite melodies unravel.

Recent releases include “Siccar Point”, a study of the geographical extremes on the east coast of Scotland, an up-tempo 12 inch featuring two slammin’ Michael J Blood remixes and a dubbed-out remix for Material Things/Pike on 12th Isle.

He has previously cut his teeth with intimate live performances at cult London venues Spanners and Avalon Cafe.

Guest mixes on Rinse FM, NTS & Kindred offer a deeper exploration into blurred boundaries, lying somewhere in-between the club and headphone listening experience.
